There is simple flowchart to help you respond promptly and appropriately to every safeguarding concern or allegation.

Any safeguarding advice and concerns raised in parishes should initially be brought to the attention of the Church Safeguarding Officer or the Incumbent, who can seek advice from the Diocesan Safeguarding Team (DST).

If you have a concern about a child or adult at risk of harm or abuse, please complete a Concern Form and return it to safeguarding@london.anglican.org.

If you are  not sure whether a concern should be taken forward, please make contact with the duty Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) or your area DSA for advice and guidance via the Safeguarding Helpline: 020 7932 1224.

Note: this mailbox is only monitored Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Concerns between 5pm and midnight Monday to Friday, or between 9am and midnight on weekends and bank holidays can be directed to Thirtyone:eight via their helpline: 0303 003 1111. option 2.

Thirtyone:eight is an independent charity which works in close partnership with the DST. The DST receives notification of any advice given by Thirtyone:eight.

If you have immediate concerns about someone’s safety, please contact the police or your local authority Children or Adult Social Care Services.
